Developed by 2K Australia, with assistance from Gearbox Software and published by 2K Games, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel! is a first-person shooter and hybrid loot-based action role-playing video game. It is an interquel between the original Borderlands (2009) and sequel Borderlands 2 (2012). This game is the third instalment in the Borderlands series and explains how the villain, handsome Jack turned out to be a 'big baddie' from being a good guy.
Set on the Pandoran moon Elpis, this PS3 Game has 12 missions to complete, including Welcome to Helios, Lost Legion Invasion, Marooned, Systems Jammed, A New Direction, Intelligences of the Artificial Persuasion, Let's Build a Robot Army, Home Sweet Home, Science and Violence, Watch Your Step, Eye to Eye, and the Beginning of the End. It also has various side missions such as Abandoned Training Facility, Crisis Scar, Concordia, Eleseer, Hyperion Hub of Heroism, Jack's Office, Lunar Launching Station, and much more. As you complete your missions and take down your enemies, go to the next level and earn more health and different ability modifiers.
The plot takes place on the surface of a moon. So, you can make absurd jumps and attacks with ease, slow your descent, and change direction while in the air. Now it is more fun to move around and even more fun to fight your enemies with the new found mobility and mechanics in this game. You have got laser guns and various other items possessing a cryogenic elemental effect that can be used to freeze and slow down your enemies. The frozen foes can be shattered using melee attacks. But the gravity lets the loot and dead bodies to float away in the air. Perform double jumps, hovering and ground slamming attacks by using the O2 kits as a jet pack. As a bonus, two new vehicles - a moon buggy and a hover bike, Stingray, have been added to the Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel game.
It features four playable characters, and each of them have unique abilities and a class for themselves. It is to be noted that all these four protagonists were non-player characters (NPCs) in previous Borderlands games.
A rogue assassin of the Atlas Corporation, the Gladiator has the ability to use a temporary shield to overcome any damage and this can be upgraded depending on the levels, making the shield itself a weapon. This shield can absorb elemental damage, which in turn, reflects back at the enemies, as well as can also be directly thrown at the enemies.
The Lawbringer is the sheriff of the Lynchwood town. Her showdown skill increases gun damage and speed, allowing the player to switch between enemies in the area quickly. She has the skills to collect Order, which can heal, recharge health and shields. It can also increase other stats temporarily based on the number of Order stacks that she has collected already.
The Fragtrap is the last of its kind robot from Borderlands 2 and has the VaultHunter.exe skill, with which he can generate random effects depending on the present situation. It can have both positive and negative effects.
The Enforcer can summon a pair of drones: Wolf - to attack other enemies and Saint - to defend himself by providing shields and health regeneration abilities. Over the course of the game, he becomes more augmented with technology and weaponry, which transforms him into a cybernetic form.
Get this game and fight against your enemies intensely on the surface of the moon!
