A very beautiful Portrayal of Human Grief, Greed, Love and Betrayal. As sensitive as it can be, this film aptly captures (and to a greater extent succeeds in paying tribute to Satyajit Ray and Uttam Kuamar through a story line that seems to have been inspired from Nayak.) the transition (growth ) of human beings (Good and Bad) through their own desires without being predictable. Three cheers for the Director! (Its impossible to believe that this is his Debut Film as a director)
Debutant director and storywriter Shuvobrata (Indraneil Sengupta) wants famous actor of Bengali cine world Arun Chatterjee (Prosenjit) to act and produce his first ever feature film . Arun approves Shuvobrata's proposal. Shuvobrata requests his live-in girlfriend Srinandita or Shrin (Nandana Sen) to play opposite Arun.
Prosenjit is awesome in a role that is not only complex but multilayered. His performance is restrained yet strong.
Indraneil Sengupta...thank god you quit television industry. You are too good to waste your talent there. He plays his character with so much ease and panache (yet being subtle) that after few minutes of watching him onscreen you can hardly distinguish between the real him and reel character.
Nandana Sen is decently good in some places and very bad in other few places. her efforts to act is quite visible which is actually a bad thing. I so wish that her character would have been played by some seasoned debutant actress.
Music is awesome.
