Overview: Adventures of Krishna: 3 in 1

This book is a 3 in 1 series consisting of the Adventures of Krishna with the following titles: Krishna and Narakasura, Krishna and Jarasandha & Krishna and the False Vaasudeva. The book Krishna and Jarasandha by Anant Pai describes in detail how Krishna helped the Yadava clan and helped his cousin defeat the Emperor Jarasandha. After vanquishing the tyrant king Kamsa, Krishna brings peace to the inhabitants of Mathura. Emperor Jarasandha, the father in law of Kamsa, is enraged by Krishna's action. He takes an oath to destroy Krishna and the entire Yadava clan to support him. The book tells in detail how the Yadava clan had fled to distant Dwaraka under the able guidance of Krishna. How did Krishna re-establish his Yadava clan in Dwaraka? Was he successful in helping his Pandava cousins regain supremacy?

Naraka was the son of Bhoomidevi. Despite being the son of divinity, Naraka possessed demonic characteristics. He looted and plundered the three worlds. No one could escape his wrath; even the King of heaven, Indra was helpless when attacked by Naraka. Humiliated and defeated by Naraka Indra seeks refuge from Krishna. Krishna, abiding by the requests of the Gods, sets out to kill Naraka and his minions along with his queen Satyabhama. Krishna and Narakasura describes in detail the challenges Krishna faced in battle and also tells us the significance of naming the first four days of Diwali after Naraka. The story Krishna and the false Vasudeva talks about the fall of Paundraka Vaasudeva who shared the same namesake and whose sycophants led him to believe that he was as as great as Lord Krishna himself.
