Overview: Adventures of Tintin - Vol. 3: Broken Ear

Join Tintin and Snowy on their amazing adventures in this three-in-one book set called The Adventures of Tintin - Vol. 3. Written by Hergé, these comic book stories are full of action, humour and mystery to keep you guessing till the very end. In The Broken Ear, Tintin goes out on a mission to retrieve a fetish, which has been stolen and replaced with a fake. This mission takes him to an ancient Inca civilisation in South America and also close to the mouth of death.

In The Black Island, Tintin, is shot at by an unknown pilot, who then crash lands in Sussex. Following this, the young reporter sets out with Snowy to find out about the pilot, not before he is framed and imprisoned by unknown criminals. Will he find his way out of this mess and uncover the hidden secrets?

King Ottokar's Sceptre sees Tintin return a lost briefcase to its rightful owner. The owner's name is Professor Hector Alembick, who is an expert on seals and shows Tintin his vast collection. He also shows a seal that belongs to an old Syldavian king named, Ottokar IV. But this knowledge might seem dangerous for Tintin and the professor as they travel to Syldavia when constant attempts are made on their lives.

Hergé is the pen name adopted by the Belgian cartoonist, Georges Prosper Remi. He created the first comic volume in the Tintin series, in 1929, thereby creating a whole new realm of mysteries and adventures. Tintin has since then become a beloved character all over the world and has even inspired a cartoon series and movie franchise. Other notable works by Hergé include Quick & Flupke and The Adventures of Jo, Zette and Jocko. Inducted into the Comic Book Hall of Fame in 2003, Hergé's works continue to inspire comics and artists even today.
