Overview: Anne Frankinte Diarykkurippukal

The Diary of a Young Girl is a collection of writings from the diary of Jewish teenager Anne Frank. The entries of this diary, written in Dutch language, narrate Anne's experiences, while she and her family were hiding in Amsterdam during World War II. The Frank family was forced to stay in hiding, because of the Nazi occupation of Netherlands. The book provides vivid descriptions of the difficult situations that Anne had to survive, during wartime. This edition of The Diary of a Young Girl was published by Maple Press in December, 2008.

Anne Frank was born in 1929 in Frankfurt, Germany. She is one of the most discussed victims of the Holocaust a systematic programme of mass murder of Jews during the Second World War, led by the Nazi party. In The Diary of a Young Girl, Anne recounts her days when she, along with her family, had to move to Amsterdam during the war, and take shelter in rooms above her father's office. She pens down her horrific experiences during the war, in this book. You can get this book from any online bookstore listed on Junglee.com, at reasonable prices.

During the course of the entries, Anne Frank matures significantly her thoughts moving from immature fantasies about romance to more profound ones, such as why Jews are being singled out and ill-treated. After two years of hiding, Anne and her family members are arrested and transferred to Bergen-Belsen Nazi camp. Anne writes about her days of deprivation and confinement in this climate of oppression. She later dies of typhus in the Nazi camp. After several days of her death and liberation of the prisoners by British armed forces, Anne's father Otto Frank recovers the diary from a Dutch citizen Miep Gies, and decides to fulfil his daughter's wishes by publishing the diary of Anne Frank.

Chicago Tribune commented that there may not be a better way to commemorate 50th anniversary of the end of Second World War, than to re-read this book, which serves as a testament to the indestructible nobility of spirit, even when it faces pure evil. This edition of the book has 268 pages and is available in English, in paperback binding. The ISBN 10 number of the book is 819073914X and the ISBN 13 number of the book is 9788190739146.
