Mainly aimed for children and young adults, this literature and fiction work is penned by American author Robin Benway. Audrey Cuttler, a high school student from California ditches her self- centered slacker boyfriend Evan, who is a lead singer from a little time band called the Do-Gooders. This forces Evan to write a break up song for her "Audrey, Wait!," that becomes a big time hit and Audrey becomes famous at a drop of a hat, more than the creator of the song does.
Her fans invade her all over the school, while she is covered in articles. She is followed like a celebrity, documented in her every move who is now not able to do anything freely from hanging out with her best friends to getting into a crush. A mob follows her everywhere and a leading singer Lolitas also asks her to be his muse. She slowly gets accustomed to this environment and takes this opportunity of being headlines and facing her ex on MTV, a chance to prove who she really is to the outside world.
While some of the readers rate it 10 on 10, some of the readers call it an unacceptable storyline. This book has won hearts of teenagers though it has some dug and sexual parts, the author had penned down in a way that he makes the readers love each and every character in the book and has even made them love to hate Evan, as it keeps the readers excited about what is going to happen next.

Robin Benway, from America who grew up in Orange County. She attended her college at New York University and University of California in Los Angeles. She also won Seth Barkas Prize while she was at Yew York University for Best Fiction by an Undergraduate. Later she worked at some places like Knopf, Borders etc in West Hollywood. Currently living in Santa Monica, she states that no one has written a song about her. Some of her works also include Going Rogue, Also Known As and April, May and June.
