When one is at the peak of adolescence, pocket money for daily expenses becomes a basic necessity. On not receiving any, one tends to find a way out by hook or by crook. Once found a source of income, one does not see what is right and what is wrong; one just gets carried away. You may call it greed or enthusiasm of young blood, but sometimes, it leads to a series of unexpected, unfortunate, and disastrous events in one's life. Such is the story of the film 'B.A. Pass', a Hindi Neo-noir film released in 2013. The film shows how lust for sex uses greed of money to manipulate innocence, and how innocence gets carried away by an easy way to earn money.
The Plot Of The Movie
The story of the film is based on The Railway Aunty, a short story written by Mohan Sikka. Mukesh lives with his aunt, who is in-charge of his family's wealth after the death of his parents. Being refused to give pocket money by his uncle and aunt, Mukesh tries hard on his own to complete his 1st year B.A. course and also takes care of his two younger sisters. Mukesh meets Sarika aunty during a get-together at his place. One day, Mukesh goes to Sarika's house to get apples, and there he gets seduced by Sarika, who has a lust for younger bodies. She pays him for it, and this continues for a while. She introduces him to other of her friends who have such desires. By now, Mukesh has become a male prostitute. One day, Sarika's husband catches them both while being physically intimate and accuses Mukesh for trying to kiss Sarika. Mukesh is then thrown out of his house by his aunt. Now, he seeks help from an undertaker, Johny, and lives him for a while till he gets the money he was to receive from Sarika so that he can take his sisters out of the orphanage. He goes to collect money from Sarika, but Sarika tells him that she has already given the money to Johny. Meanwhile, Sarika's husband comes back. Now Sarika makes Mukesh stab her once, but Mukesh, in shock, ends up stabbing Sarika three to four times. After coming back, Mukesh finds neither Johny nor his belongings, and later finds out that Johny has run away with the money to Mauritius. While in a dilemma and disbelief, he gets call from his sisters asking him to rescue from the orphanage that was treating them badly. He also gets chased by police, and while in the run he gets on to a terrace and kills himself.
