The dude abides, and he lost his rug which really tied the room together 20 July, 2014 On Junglee.com
There are no words to describe this movie and how funny is this. I like Jeff Bridges and John Goodman who are such seasoned actors and I believe that this is so much expected of them as they can't heck up.
This is the most Dudy movie in the history of Hollywood , I guess this movie should define what is the "Dudeness". This movie is actually setting the standards of being dude its an epic around the Dudiness.
Jeffrey Lebwoski is the dude. He is the coolest dude ever and he doesn't like to be called by name. He prefers being called "The Dude". The Dude loses his rug when some German nuisance stole his rug thinking him of the wrong Lebwoski in the town who is crippled and whose very young pornographic actor wife has been abducted by some Germans who are asking the Lebwoski money.
These Germans urinate on the Dude's rug and spoil it.
The Dude walk up to this real Lebwoski in question and ask him for the money to buy his rug. The Lebwoski calls him by name but The Dude asks him to call him "The DUDE". He says" you cna call me The Dude, or Your Dudeness or El DUderiono if you don;t like the brevity thing.
You would enjoy the each iota of the movie as the actors are so naturally talented. Now the Dude has got a friend who fought Vietnam var and thinks himself as a Veteran. He is pretty short tempered. I love him saying "You are out of your elements Donny". These guys Donny , the Dude and the Walter the Vietnam war dude plays the game of Bowling.
The Big Lebwoski calls the Dude and asks him to release his wife from the Germans and offer him the money in lieu of that.
In between there is an interesting character who comes to the bowling alley. He is the best ever I have seen. His name is Jesus and he is funny like hell , you would know what I am talking about when you would be watching this movie.
The Julian Moore is again an interesting character who is the daughter of the Big Lebwoski.
These kind of movies are epic movies and it really doesn't matter if you know the plot or not because the movie is more than plot and story and the music, its about the cast and how well placed they are. I have watched this movie multiple times.
And you know what "THE DUDE ABIDES"
