Overview: The Blue Lotus

The Blue Lotus is a fiction comic book, which follows the adventures of a young journalist named Tintin. This book has a continuing story arc from the Cigars of Pharaoh, and starts when Tintin and Snowy are holidaying in India at the palace of the Maharaja of Gaipajama. Here, he is approached by strange visitor from Shanghai, who supplies him with the name of Mitsuhirato, and before he can finish his message, he is shot dead by a poisonous dart.

Tintin must now uncover the secret behind this name and find out what the visitor actually wanted. He is swept into a whole new adventure which involves gangsters, a secret society called Sons of the Dragon and an international conspiracy. In the midst of this conspiracy, is a secret den called the Blue Lotus. What is the mystery of this den? Will Tintin and the Sons of the Dragon together stop the inevitable?
