    Bookadda is best to buy books.....but the price of books needs to be competitive here as there are other websites which which offers books at lower price than bookadda.

    I bought 3 books from Book adda. Out of which one book (The Horror Stories of Robert E. Howard) bought in early April turned out to be a fake. This was a huge disappointment since the seller claims to sell only genuine books. There are 3 reasons why the book is a fake: 1. The binding came out after a couple of weeks -it shows shoddy workship 2.The quality of pages - all white and thin 3. And printing of of the cover which is slanted and the line on it abruptly gets cut. Hope my feedback will reach the vendor. Regards,

    Very poor service, claim you will receive item in 3-5 days but actually ship in 2 weeks . Ordered 5 books from bookadda , not of them came on time and they do not even reply to my queries on time. The most pathetic online book shop and they their claim that they are india's favourite book store amuses me.

    No information about the order.... they told shipping within 2- 3 days. I had ordered on 5 days back.... and cant even track my order. My order num was 1370235533191..... I would not suggest anyone to order thru this ... I tried contacting them in their ph numbers.... either they wont respond or they just simply attend the call but no reply.overall experience is really bad. There is no option to submit this without giving any stars.... so helplessly giving 1 star I would not hav given any stars

    I had placed on order on 2nd April for a book which was stated to be in stock and paid by card and it was to be delivered within 4 days. I called customercare of bookadda on the 9th to check the status of delivery and was told that the publisher's office was closed due to stock taking and the book will be delivered soon. Within 5 minutes I get the first email from bookadda stating the order has been cancelled and the book is out of stock and the amount is being refunded. On the website I could still find the book available but at a higher price. This is very unprofessional service and will never buy from bookadda again.

Refunds and Returns Policies

You can return unopened item(s) in its original packing within 7 days of delivery.Kindly send an email requesting for return and we will have the book parcel picked-up from your premises, if the location is serviced by our courier/s. However, if it is delivered by India Post - you would be required to send the book back to us by 'Registered Post' and send us a mail giving details of dispatch clearly mentioning your transaction id ( 13 digit order reference no.).

We will refund the amount after receipt of book less our original delivery charges.

Typical scenario for processing a refund may vary from 3 to 21 working days, depending on the issuing bank/payment processor to pass credit for the said refund.

Defective : In case you have received any product which is defective from our side please intimate us within 3 days of receipt, we will certainly replace the product from our side and regret any inconvenience it may have caused you. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

BookAdda Shipping & Delivery

  • Where do we deliver?

    • BookAdda.com ships to almost the whole of India where there is reach of the Indian postal network. As of now, we do NOT make any international shipments/deliveries.

  • How much does Shipping & Delivery Cost?

    • All Orders above Rs.399 are delivered to your doorstep FREE of COST. Orders below Rs.399 are charged Rs.60 as courier charges.

  • How long does the shipping take?

    • Major destinations are serviced by known national courier companies & deliveries normally take 1-3 days. You can track the status & location of your book parcel after dispatch on the couriers respective website vide the book parcel's tracking code. Remote locations where there is no coverage by our empanelled couriers, get serviced through 'India Post'- Government of India undertaking. There is NO online tracking currently available for book parcels sent by Registered Post or VPP. Delivery time through India Post normally takes longer and could extend to more than 2 weeks too for some locations & rare situations. Kindly be patient - inform us if there is inordinate delay & we will follow-up with India Post.


    When you place an order, the estimated shipping and delivery time will be specified based on the availability of the item Generally the books will fall under 3 categories:


    In stock:
    All the titles will clearly mention the approximate shipping and delivery time. The delivery time details are:

    1 - 4 business days*: Books are currently in stock with local distributors / vendors and will likely be shipped on same day if the orders are placed before 2p.m.

    5 - 9 business days*: Books are available at the publishers warehouse and will need to be ordered from there.

    15 - 21 business days*: These books are imported into India. 

    ' * ' - Business day means working day/s excluding Saturday/Sunday & National Holidays.

    Out of stock: These books are currently out of stock. We accept email ID's and will intimate you once the titles are back in stock.

    Pre-Order: The stock of these titles are expected shortly (usually within 2-3 weeks). We accept email ID's and will intimate you once the titles are ready to be shipped for you to place your order(s). 

    Note: Book booked on Saturday after 4p.m will take an extra day due to the weekend.
