    Had a good experience with bookadda.com
    The books I needed was not available with any online company or any book store. Boodadda was the only company that had it and at the best possible price. There was a slight delay in delivery, but the customer service kept me informed on the delay,therefore I was ok with it. Overall a very good experience.Will highly recommend this company.

    Pros:
    1. Competitive pricing
    2. Timely delivery
    3. COD available.

    Cons:
    After purchasing I received a call from BookAdda that the cover of the book (it was a hardcover) was damaged whether I was ok with it. They said I will be given some additional discount since the cover is damaged. However when the book came the delivery guy took original price and not the discounted price!

    The main problem I faced was not to do with service, but WRONG information on website. A book which I ordered - How to Plan advertising - was shown "In stock". However, later was decilned upon placing the order, and that too after a written request was made. Incidentally this book was still on display as of this morning. Hence I put a verbal complaint by calling the customer service.
    Hence overall, transaction was nice, but the seller has to really keep updating on an automated basis on its inventory.

    Third rate service. charge enormously high shipping charges and do not even bother to contact the buyer when sending only part of the order while seeking to charge the entire shipping charges. Are they proffitting even through shipping charges? I wonder. I would never recommend this seller to anybody.

    The book was first sent to me by Aramex courier service.But there is no such courier service available to my home area.So the book was returned back to the shipper.When I approached Bookadda,they respond me so nicely and send me the book again through registered post.nice experience....

    Bookadda is best to buy books.....but the price of books needs to be competitive here as there are other websites which which offers books at lower price than bookadda.

Refunds and Returns Policies

You can return unopened item(s) in its original packing within 7 days of delivery.Kindly send an email requesting for return and we will have the book parcel picked-up from your premises, if the location is serviced by our courier/s. However, if it is delivered by India Post - you would be required to send the book back to us by 'Registered Post' and send us a mail giving details of dispatch clearly mentioning your transaction id ( 13 digit order reference no.).

We will refund the amount after receipt of book less our original delivery charges.

Typical scenario for processing a refund may vary from 3 to 21 working days, depending on the issuing bank/payment processor to pass credit for the said refund.

Defective : In case you have received any product which is defective from our side please intimate us within 3 days of receipt, we will certainly replace the product from our side and regret any inconvenience it may have caused you. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

BookAdda Shipping & Delivery

  • Where do we deliver?

    • BookAdda.com ships to almost the whole of India where there is reach of the Indian postal network. As of now, we do NOT make any international shipments/deliveries.

  • How much does Shipping & Delivery Cost?

    • All Orders above Rs.399 are delivered to your doorstep FREE of COST. Orders below Rs.399 are charged Rs.60 as courier charges.

  • How long does the shipping take?

    • Major destinations are serviced by known national courier companies & deliveries normally take 1-3 days. You can track the status & location of your book parcel after dispatch on the couriers respective website vide the book parcel's tracking code. Remote locations where there is no coverage by our empanelled couriers, get serviced through 'India Post'- Government of India undertaking. There is NO online tracking currently available for book parcels sent by Registered Post or VPP. Delivery time through India Post normally takes longer and could extend to more than 2 weeks too for some locations & rare situations. Kindly be patient - inform us if there is inordinate delay & we will follow-up with India Post.


    When you place an order, the estimated shipping and delivery time will be specified based on the availability of the item Generally the books will fall under 3 categories:


    In stock:
    All the titles will clearly mention the approximate shipping and delivery time. The delivery time details are:

    1 - 4 business days*: Books are currently in stock with local distributors / vendors and will likely be shipped on same day if the orders are placed before 2p.m.

    5 - 9 business days*: Books are available at the publishers warehouse and will need to be ordered from there.

    15 - 21 business days*: These books are imported into India. 

    ' * ' - Business day means working day/s excluding Saturday/Sunday & National Holidays.

    Out of stock: These books are currently out of stock. We accept email ID's and will intimate you once the titles are back in stock.

    Pre-Order: The stock of these titles are expected shortly (usually within 2-3 weeks). We accept email ID's and will intimate you once the titles are ready to be shipped for you to place your order(s). 

    Note: Book booked on Saturday after 4p.m will take an extra day due to the weekend.
