Coolest of the GDF-100s
3 April, 2013
I received the watch promptly, as promised. Thanks to Junglee for the lowest price in the market.
The watch was placed inside an aluminum G-Shock case, which was places inside a black box. The box seemed really old, which worried me initially. However, the case and the watch inside were in spectacular condition.
The major features of this watch included a big dial which by default shows the time (hours, minutes and seconds), date and day. Upon pressing the buttons on the sides, it displays the temperature, pressure and altitude. This watch also includes 5 alarms, hourly beep, multiple time zones (world time), a stop watch, a countdown timer and a nice glow lamp which has a greenish blue illumination in the background.
Now, for the pros and cons:
The buttons are a little hard to push.
The altimeter, thermometer and barometer functions may not be perfectly precise but they're always close to the exact values.
The thermometer might show a higher temperature owing to the temperature from your body. You'll have to remove the watch from your hand and place is away for a few minutes to get the most accurate reading.
The barometer and altimeter functions work flawlessly when you're climbing a mountain, not while you're at work on the top floor or while you're inside an aircraft.
The watch looks great. The black and orange contrast is brilliant.
Though it looks big, it's very light.
It was pretty simple to use; you don't need to refer to a manual everytime.
You have the option to calibrate the altimeter, thermometer and barometer.
The dial and strap looks sturdy and gives you a definite G-Shock field.
The price on Junglee is lower than the other channels by around 20%.
I'd recommend you buy this product. However, if you're looking for more precision, I'd suggest you buy the G-Shocks with the triple sensors.
