Product Description

The field of Chemical reaction engineering addresses using chemical reactions for commercial purposes. It does so by designing and setting up chemical reactors. 'Chemical Reaction Engineering' focusses on design methods, graphical procedures, and compared the capabilities of different chemical reactor types. It begins with presenting essential ideas with simplicity, before presenting more complex concepts. As 'Chemical Reaction Engineering' focusses extensively on setting up reactors, the book is clearly focussed on design strategy for various system types. The updated edition of Chemical Reaction Engineering addresses biochemical systems, and other aspects of non ideal flow. Further, it analyses the need to assess assumptions, so that real application can involve alternative approaches as per requirement. For a student of CRE Chemical Reaction Engineering), it is a great resource in understanding the theory and practical aspect of essential concepts. ISBN 13 9788126510009 Wiley India Private Limited is one of India's leading publishing houses. 'Chemical Reaction Engineering' is written by Octave Levenspiel, chemical engineering emeritus professor at Oregon State University. He focusses on chemical reaction engineering, a field focussed on using chemical reaction towards designing chemical reactors. He recieved his Ph.D from Oregon State University, and is well known for his ability to rapidly calculate important formulae. His work has been translated into other languages, and is used as an important resource for studying chemical engineering. The book provides begins with an Overview of teh subject, before understanding Reactions In Ideal Reactors, Reactor Design for various types of reactions. Part II provides an understanding of different tank models. He has recieved multiple awards in Chemistry, as well as honorary doctorates from France, Serbia, and the Colorado School of Mines.
