  1.  Good read 6 January, 2014 On
The book 'Classic Ruskin Bond' comprising his six novellas is representative of his writing style - his mastery over story telling. One can get a peek into the lives of hill people by his uninhibited depiction. In his description Nature does not just come as a part of the normal story telling but it is very much a living character.

I visited many of the places of the region described in the stories and felt very nostalgic.

A point: some of the descriptions in the novellas - The Room on the Roof, Vagrants in the Valley and Delhi Is Not Far are repetitive.

Another point: There are seven printing mistakes in page nos. 101, 113, 170, 198, 210, 316 and 376. We expect printing- mistake free books from a renowned Publisher like the Pengiun.

However, I highly recommend the purchase of the book. It will add as a treasured possession of any book lover.
