Overview: The Complete Adventures of Tintin

This The Complete Adventures of Tintin (The Adventures of Tintin) is for lovers of the comic character Tintin and his trusted friend the dog Snowy. This book is a collection of all adventures of this brave heart Belgian. There are 24 comics in the set. Written by Herge, the collection includes stories such as Tintin in the Congo, Prisoners of the Sun and Tintin In America to name a few.

Get ready for some comic action!

The comics are a narration of Tintin's adventurous quests. Tintin is a young reporter, dynamic, and intelligent. He has a penchant for solving dangerous cases. Mysteries attract him like a bee to a flower. His faithful canine companion Snowy accompanies him on his trips. A fox terrier dog, Snowy is an able foil.

Well-researched and never lagging in details

Each plot is well-researched. Information is presented in a believable form. It makes the reader live through the character. There are fantastical and mysterious elements interspersed in between. The comics cater to different genres. Some are political thrillers, while some are science fictions. No book is without important and interesting characters. For instance, the identical detective twins, Thompson and Thompson, serve your laughing energies.

It's Captain Haddock again

Tintin's comics are immortal in their appeal. This is because Herge does a fine job at defining characters. These comics have the same appeal of a movie series. The characters are established and the reader knows what to expect. No Tintin book is complete without the presence of the mercurial Captain Haddock. He is the funny, self-defiant, blooper-avoiding Captain, who saves Tintin from life-threatening situations now and then.

Then there is the character Bianca Castafiore who is a sensational diva. Professor Calculus makes his appearance known, but the problem is that he is stone-deaf!

A comic series that is a legend

The adventures of Tintin have sold more than 200 million copies. They have been translated into more than 70 languages. It is written and illustrated by Georges Prosper Remi, whose pen name is Herge. His other notable works are the Quick & Flupke series and Zette and Jocko. He is credited for inventing the ligne Claire illustrative style. This hardcover book can be ordered online with the ISBN number 10 of 1405262885 and ISBN number 13 of 978-1405262880. Shop online for a great comic series that will have you absorbed!

  1.  All the Tintin goodness in one compact collection 12 September, 2013 On
I have been a Tintin fan for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I read every single Tintin book at least 2-3 times every summer. When I traveled to Vietnam a few years back, I picked up French Tintin posters from streets. Tintin was the first movie I watched with my 2 year old. So, it was great when I found this hidden gem on Junglee which I then purchased from This one is one to treasure, I have kept it in a safe place in the house. So far been to Tintin in Tibet and Black Island, plan to go through the rest in the next few days.
