Gabriel knows who made the call, the woman who has made his life miserable over the last several years, Natalie Coleman. Gabriel is placed into “teacher jail”, while an investigation is conducted to look into the allegation. Time passes, and Gabriel patience’s is wearing thin, as the investigation stalls. He takes matters into his own hands, to clear his good name, and hires a new attorney, Chris McNamara, from the Law Office of Ryan Croker, to represent him in a defamation of character lawsuit against Natalie. As the case begins to heat up, Natalie is discovered murdered and the autopsy reveals she was pregnant. All the evidence collected, points to Gabriel as the murderer, however he swears his innocence and he has been set up. Gabriel is soon arrested and now faces a double murder charge with the possibility of the death penalty. Having no one to turn to, Gabriel asks Chris McNamara to defend him. The problem is, Chris has never handled a criminal case before. Chris turns to an assigned court mentor, Morton Goldstein for guidance.
