Six years on and you still enjoy and shake a leg or two to Tu, paisa paisa kyun karti hai, tu paise pe kyun itna marti hai from De Dana Dan. The movie was a huge hit in 2009 for Akshay Kumar and did some good for Katrina too. Sunil Shetty and Sameera Reddy too had their presence felt.
Akshay has found his elements as a lovable goof in the movie. He shows he can act even if confined to a wardrobe for a good part of the film. Manoj Joshi and Paresh Rawal help no end to pep up the film. Their bonhomie is remarkable. You can see smiling faces all over during intermission mainly due to their antics.
Neha Dhupia, among the ladies, gets to mouth some of the prurient dialogues. You could be forgiven, though, if you could not decide who looks better: Katrina, Sameera, Neha or Aditi Govitrikar who is marvelous as the wife of Rawal and would do anything to get her hands on money.
The movie does not aim to be a collections of jokes put together to pass off as a complete movie. And, it is not just a usual story built around another mistaken-identity theme. Genuine humor is created out of situations. The script by Jay Master is neatly done. Priyadharshan, the multilingual director whose forte is humor, does not disappoint at all.
De dana dan means running helter skelter and that is exactly what they do in the movie. We recommend that you run after this Blu-ray.
