  1.  "Battle Between 2 Great Minds" -- Mindblowing Manga! 25 July, 2015 On
I had seen a lot about Death Note on the Internet but never read it, also didn't watch the TV Series.

This was my first Manga, I bought the Black Edition from another local store site. The book looks very compelling, the black edges of the pages are a great feature of the look of the book, so it's a great collecting stuff too!

If you haven't watched the TV series yet then I recommend you to first read this and then watch the TV series, you will never be bored. The story is a murder-mystery and mostly a game of wits between the main protagonist Light and good-antagonist detective L, the fantasy property of the story is the advantage, though don't worry it is mostly about wits and very less about supernatural powers -- The supernatural side is very well maintained to keep the reader engaged.

Though I personally thought that I would never be able to read a murder-mystery kind of book but Death Note completely is not like other typical ones, the first thing is the fantasy side of the story, the supernatural beings Shinigami are a heck lot interesting than you can think and they have significant impact on the story line.. The other thing is the unmatched level of wits shown by both Light and L and the way the story progresses.

The next thing you must do after reading the manga: watch the TV series!
