19 August, 2014
A classic tale of a father’s love of his daughter, Father of the Bride 1 is a beautiful and touching tale. George Banks and Nina Banks with their son and daughter represent a typical charming family. But when their daughter, Annie decides to get married to Bryan, George is at a roadblock. He has to come to terms with that fact that is his little girl is all grown up all in the course of putting together a fairy tale wedding for her. Several comical situations involving wedding budgets, meeting the in-laws and wedding planner tactics provide comic relief. Steve Martin, Diane Keaton, Martin Short, Kimberly Williams and George Newbern star in this emotional comedy.
Steve Martin, Diane Keaton, Martin Short, Kimberly Williams and George Newbern reprise their roles in this superb sequel to ‘Father of the Bride’. When George is just coming to terms with his daughter moving away after marriage, life throws him a curve ball, when he and his wife discover that they are pregnant! As middle aged couple having a baby there is worry and trepidation and George keeps wondering if he’ll be as good a father as when he was younger. Along the heels also comes the news that Annie and Bryan are expecting thirst first child. So George now also has to deal with becoming both a middle aged grand-dad and father all at the same time. Towards the end of the movie, all hell breaks loose (of course in a rib-tickling funny way) when both mother and daughter go into labor during the same night. Father of the Bride 2 is a great sequel!!!
