Weren't you fond of board games, especially Monopoly, when you were a kid? Of course, you must have! It is a classic game for the young ones that include buying and selling of properties. Till date, it is a favourite even for the grown-ups. With a pair of dice, it is a game that you can play with your friends and family. The original monopoly started from the West with the names of western states and provinces, but the 'Funskool Monopoly India Edition' brings to you the Indian version with Indian names. It adds more fun and familiarity to the game. Even the first-time players will find it interesting to play along.
How To Play
You would need at least four players to make it an interesting game. Each player receives a particular amount of different denominations, and not to forget - there has to be a Banker, who distributes assets to the players. The board has got names of houses and hotels that the bank owns. Each player has a token and got to roll out a pair of dice to start the game. According to the number that is calculated by adding up the numbers on both the dices, the player moves his token forward. As he completes one round, he receives a particular amount from the bank, and that happens every time. After completion of one round, each player can start buying properties from the bank by paying the price tagged along with the property. Whoever lands on the property, other than the owner, has got to pay the owner a rent as mentioned in the rulebook. Nothing happens when a player lands on his own property or a property that nobody owns. There is also a Super Tax and Income Tax where if any player lands, then he has to pay tax to the bank. The amounts are all mentioned in the rulebook, so the players have to keep an eye on the rulebook. If a player lands on the Go To Jail square, then his token goes back to the Jail, refer the rulebook for further details. This is a healthy game that teaches the young ones about business at a young age in an entertaining manner.
