"The Godfather"- undoubtedly the best work of Mario Puzo is not just a book it is an experience. The Godfather is based in hells kitchen-new york in post second world war era and is about the Corleone family and four other families from Italy who try to establish their supremacy over new york mafia.
The protagonists of the story are Don Vito Corleone and his son Michael around whom the entire story revolves. One of the best things about the book is the narrative style of the author which paints a word picture of the organized crime and the gambling industry in new york.
