not worth the 100 mins
10 April, 2013
A dark movie about the moral choices people have to make in life. Except for the moral dilemma left open for the audience to debate about in the end (which is only reason it gets a rating of 2 instead of 1), there is really little else in the movie. It is another of those badly convoluted Hollywood thrillers that seem to believe that a hugely complicated story with an overdose of death and darkness, forced moments of suspense and lots of shouting characters create a sense of unparalleled intensity. The only good part is the ending where you are left to wonder if one can ever make the `right’ moral choice or we just have to do what we have to do and hope we don’t live to regret it. But I would have preferred getting this message through a 15 min short-film than 100 min of mindless cinema
