Explore the fictional Liberty City of Grand Theft Auto. This game is the thirteenth instalment of the Grand Theft Auto Series. Niko Bellic, the protagonist of the story emigrates to the States following the advice of his cousin who lures him to America with false promises of luxury and wealth. It is only after he arrives in America he discovers the truth.

Nico Bellic accepts his cousin's invitation to America to escape his past, but it eventually catches up to him. He finds himself and his cousin being chased by the local loan sharks for the money borrowed by his cousin. He tries to persuade the loan sharks to leave him and his cousin alone by being their hitman.

This Complete edition of GTA 4 has two additional expansions: The Lost and Damned and The Ballard of Gay Tony. In the "Lost and Damned" expansion, the story revolves around a new protagonist "Johnny Klebitz". This expansion pack shows the new side of the Liberty City. The "Ballard of Gay Tony" expansion features another new protagonist - "Luis Fernando Lopez" an ex-member of Dominican drug dealers and the current bodyguard of Anthony "Gay Tony" Prince who is the owner of two nightclubs in Liberty City. Rockstar Games mentioned in their press release "Both these episodes inject Liberty City with an overdose of Guns and crimes".


This instalment of Grand Theft Auto follows the third person shooter genre. The reality of the game is greatly enhanced. Many new features have been added to improve the reality of the environment. The pedestrians perform various actions such as smoking, reading books, reading newspaper and other activities which normal people do.

Niko Bellic has a mobile phone which he can use to receive/place calls, buy weapons, call a taxi, etc. The phone also has options to access phonebook, messages, organizer and camera.

The Internet cafes in GTA 4 allows the player to surf the internet to explore various activities which occur in Liberty City. There are more than 100 in-game internet websites in the game.

The advanced pedestrian reaction algorithm informs the police whenever you commit a crime with pedestrians watching. Police can be evaded by fleeing the red marked area with being seen by the cops.

The cars in GTA 4 come equipped with GPS systems which automatically identify the best route for reaching the destination. There are fifteen multiplayer modes which can be accessed through the mobile phone. The multiplayer mode can support up to 16 players.

The game uses a R.A.G.E engine to deliver a stunning level of reality and interactivity. The new volumetric lighting effects allow sunlight to stream into dusty interiors, this effect go to police helicopter spot lights too.
