True to the title and entertaining!

An amazing attempt at drawing parallels to the one saga that has defined political ideology in India and the one period that saw political establishments getting laid in modern India. Though direct and offensive at times to one front or ideology, the author makes his opinion unabashedly and in a bold no two ways manner. The analogies are not contrived or forced and give a sense of the research that must have gone behind this work. Add to this, the inimitable narrative style of Tharoor encapsulates the book from cover to cover. An entertaining read, an insightful way to look at a story we all know so much about - Tharoor needs to be complimented for keeping the reader riveted inspite of the multiple Mahabharatha renditions that would have happened before this.
