Overview: The Guardian

Julie Barenson's young husband left her two unexpected gifts before he died - a puppy named Singer and the promise that he would always be watching over her. Now, four years later, twenty-nine-year-old Julie is far too young to have given up on love. She may be ready to risk caring for someone again. But who?Should it be Richard Franklin, the sophisticated, handsome engineer who treats her like a queen? Or Mike Harris, the down-to-earth nice guy who was her husband's best friend? Choosing one of them should bring her more happiness than she's had in year. Instead, Julie is soon fighting for her life in a nightmare spawned by a chilling deception and a jealousy so poisonous that it has become a murderous desire . . .Written with electrifying intensity and riveting suspense, The Guardian. is an explosive and emotional tale of betrayal and obsession. After breaking the Notre Dame school record as part of a relay team in 1985 while a freshman (a record which still stands), he was injured and spent the summer recovering. During that summer, he wrote his first novel, "The Passing," but he never had it published. He majored in Business Finance and graduated with high honors in 1988. In 1989 he wrote his second novel, "The Royal Murders," which was also never published, after being rejected by publishers. Sparks decided to concentrate on another career. He'd been rejected by publishers and law schools alike, and went through a number of short-term jobs. Among these

A Romantic Super Thriller! 16 May, 2013 On
The Guardian is a markedly different work from the master romance, Nicholas Sparks. Though the soul of the novel is a beautiful love story between Mike and Julie, this novel effectively blends breezy romance along with a spine tingling thriller.
The shady character of Richard will surely give you the creeps right from his introduction scene. At the end, the hero of the story turns out to be Singer, a lovable and slobby Great Dane. Reading this book is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat!
