Overview: House of Hades

About the Book: Heroes of Olympus: The House of Hades: Book 4 The fourth book in the bestselling Heroes of Olympus Series-set in the explosive World of Percy Jackson The stakes have never been higher. If Percy Jackson and Annabeth fail in their quest, therell be hell on Earth. Literally. Wandering the deadly realm of Tartarus, every step leads them further into danger. And, if by some miracle they do make it to the Doors of Death, theres a legion of bloodthirsty monsters waiting for them. Meanwhile, Hazel and the crew of the Argo II have a choice: to stop a war or save their friends. Whichever road they take one thing is certain - in the Underworld, evil is inescapable. About the Author: Rick Riordan Rick Riordan is a teacher an award-winning mystery writer. He says that the idea for Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief first came to him while he was teaching Greek mythology at middle school in San Francisco. But rumour has it that Camp Half Blood actually exists, and Rick spends his summers there recording the adventures of young demigods. Some believe that, to avoid a mass panic among the mortal population, he was forced to swear on the River Styx to present Percy Jacksons story as fiction. Rick lives in San Antonio, Texas (apart from his summers on Half Blood Hill) with his wife and two sons. (

Its a great story with some historic accuracy. I ama huge fan of mythology and have been reading Percy Jackson books for about 8 years or soThese are children's novels afterall but I feel as if Riordan writes every book as if its the first book anyones reading in the series. Re introductions and character histories are overly common and un needed. I also feel as if he should progress the story line toward a preteen and teenage audience. After all most people reading these novels have aged 5 to 9 years since the lightning thief came out. Farting weasels need to go!
