Overview: House of Night TP boxed set

The House of Night is a thrilling, New York Times bestselling book series that follows 16-year-old Zoey Redbird as she is “Marked” by a vampyre tracker and begins to undergo the “Change” into an actual vampyre. She has to leave her family in Broken Arrow, OK, and move into the House of Night, a boarding school for other fledgling vampyres like her. It’s tough to begin a new life, away from her parents and friends, and on top of that, Zoey finds she is no average fledgling. She has been Marked as special by the vampyre Goddess, Nyx. Although Zoey has awesome new powers, it’s hard to fit in when everyone knows you’re “special.” As Zoey tries to make new friends and maybe find a hot boyfriend (or two), she comes up against all kinds of evil, from the perfect-looking, super-popular girl with not-so-faultless plans, to the mysterious deaths happening at the House of Night and all over Tulsa. Things at the House of Night are not always what they seem. Can Zoey find the courage deep within herself to find the truth and embrace her destiny? About The Author: P.C.      It is my opinion... 9 December, 2013 On Junglee.com
***2 stars for the WHOLE SERIES, 3.6 for the first part**

If I had read only the first two parts of the series I would have given this book a 5 star rating, needless saying, I have read the whole series and regret it.
One of the MANY reasons about NOT liking this series is : first, the hypocrisy of the protagonist: Zoey, Zo, ZOE etc.
In the beginning of the series we read her talking about girls(including her own sister) who go around with boys making them their boytoys, or to quote her:"Testing whether they can get pregnant." and you think,"WOW, this girl has substance..."
BUT your assumptions would be shattered. In other parts, we will be seeing her making out with every guy who comes into her life, namely 5.
But the things don't finish here, the books are stretched like a plastic band going to break off.

At the beginning of the series what I DID like about the book was her sarcasm and funny friends. But as you progress through the series the fun part wears out. And you hear yourself thinking," Why am I wasting my time?"..

Also it has more of THAT content than I liked.

Anyway if you still want to read the series only read the first 2-3 parts. I don't want to influence your opinion, if you liked it, there's no harm done. But I didn't like it that much even with its humour and sarcasm . But if you do want to read a life changing amazing series, read VAMPIRE ACADEMY by Richelle Mead. I have written a book review for it too here : https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...
And its currently being turned into an official motion picture.
