Does not capture the magic of the first 18 December, 2013 On
The first Iron Man movie changed the way comic book adaptions were made. It (for better or worse) began the "Marvel Cinematic Universe" that climaxed with The Avengers. This is the first marvel movie to be released after The Avengers, and in many ways it proves that the series is still going strong, however, it is far from perfect.

    ACTING: 8/10

The acting from the main cast members is great. Robert Downey Jr. continues to be the perfect Iron Man, I just can't imagine a better suited actor. His comedic timing is perfect, and he allows Tony Stark to be lovable while being a total jerk. Gwyneth Paltrow and Don Cheadle don't get a ton of screen time, however, they are wonderful when they do. Ben Kingsley, Guy Pearce, and Rebecca Hall are all fantastic and underused. The rest of the cast is perfectly adequate, however, there seems to be a theme of casting great talents and completely under using them.

    WRITING: 3/10

This is the biggest failure of the movie. The comedy works well (partially thanks to Robert Downey Jr.) and the action scenes are good, however the plot hidden behind the popcorn fun is plain awful. I have never really liked movies that deal with "super soldiers" and "protecting the president," and this movie deals with both badly. The technology written into the series continues to become more and more ridiculous. And the twist is both easy to predict and manages to reduce the main villains role to nothing. Finally, the scene after the credits is a bit of a let down as it gives no hint towards the direction of the series.

    DESIGN: 6/10

The design is just as good as previous films in the series, which is to say that it fits somewhere between satisfactory and slightly above average. The tech looks great despite its lack of plausibility, and the wardrobe and sets fit the overall tone of the movie.

    EFFECTS: 10/10

The CGI is near perfect in this film, and there is a ton of it. There are scenes where Iron Man's suit magnetically attaches to Tony in separate pieces and it looks totally convincing. The explosions and impossible technology looks great too.

    MUSIC: 4/10

The soundtrack in this movie is awful. Hans Zimmer has inspired many with his booming and electronic score for Inception and the Batman franchise. This concept has been replicated a hundred times since those movies, and in lesser hands it is nothing but a loud mess. This is the case with Iron Man 3. The score is loud and booming, and completely forgettable, dull and repetitive.

This movie is mindless, unimpressive, forgettable, action packed... and thoroughly enjoyable. It is a great summer blockbuster popcorn movie that will leave your mind as soon as you leave the theater. That being said, if you liked The Avengers and Iron Man 2, you will likely enjoy this movie as well. Overall, I give it a 6.2/10

     entertaining 23 March, 2014 On
i like the movie.but not the ending. i thought that may be they will make the 4th part of this series but while coming on the end i found that it is in doubt bcoz protogonist left all his heroic things like that metal in his heart. but overall the movie was entertaining and powerpack. those who did not have seen it yet do watch it.

The Epic Finale! 21 January, 2014 On
Iron Man 3 feels like an exploitative mulching of present-day anxieties. The script is ambitious but not wise enough to be rightfully cathartic. It's more Cuisinart than art.

Downey is a brilliant actor who somehow manages to portray Tony Stark as traumatised without losing the character's laidback and comedic quality.

You may not like the movie as better than it's prequels

  4.  Technology Wizardry and of course the Man inside the suit ! 17 October, 2013 On
The movie is all about the techno-wizardry out there in a typical Iron-Man movie ... YET at the same time, it is also about the Man inside the suit.

A very important aspect of the movie and its msg is that the Suit does not make the Iron Man ... its the man inside who makes the Iron Man.

Tony is out seemingly without any resources when a child teaches him this lesson. Tony regains his confidence and does what he does best ... create yet another Iron Man suit.

Watch this movie for the triumph of human over technology and suits and of course for the heavy dose of technology too. Tony no longer needs to get into his suit in the confines of his home. he can get into the suit or more precisely, the suit can wrap itself around him anywhere ... even in mid-air.

Its a nice movie. I am not a hollywood movie fan (except the Pixar and Disney movie) but i liked this one. Quite a bit of violence (which I hate) but while watching the movie, you don't really 'notice' the violence. Your focus is held by the Man with / without his suit.

Robert Downey Jr. *swooning...a lot* 20 December, 2013 On
It blew me away in the literal sense! (because the volume was a lil higher than it was comfortable)
The whole graphics, sound, screenplay with the added qualities of Robert Downey Jr....
Well, it would be a sin to not watch the movie (after you've watched the first 2 pats, that is).
I'll be straight going down to WHY you should watch this movie:
    1. It has Robert Downey Jr. (what else do you want?)
    2. It's HILARIOUS ( couldn't expect less from Robert Downey Jr.)
    3. Technology (oohh laa laaa)
    4. Adrenaline pumping (even if your ducts are clogged)
    5. Makes you want to jump up and cry when the end comes
    6. Makes you tap dance when your assumptions get shattered.

These are a few of the man reasons you should watch this movie through this DVD.
