Product Description

Kites is a 2010 Bollywood film, a romantic-action thriller directed by Anurag Basu of 'Barfi!' fame and produced by Rakesh Roshan. Though the film didn't perform well at the box-office, its music surely worked wonders. The romantic, slow tracks are what we love listening to even today. This CD of Kites is in the audio format. When at such a cheap price, you're getting music that is sure to soothe your ears and hearts, why not grab it?

Kites stars Hrithik Roshan, the son of this movie's producer Rakesh Roshan in the male lead and Barbara Mori, a Mexican actress, producer, model and writer, in the female lead. This film was released in Hindi as well as English and it released on May 21, 2010 in India and North America. Kites is a love story that goes beyond boundaries and cultures. The music of the film was composed by Rakesh Roshan's brother Rajesh Roshan.

Rajesh Roshan is famous for composing music for films like Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, Koi Mil Gaya, Krrish and Krrish 3. These are all the films directed by Rakesh Roshan and starring his son Hrithik Roshan. Before this, Rajesh has composed music for films like Muqaddar, Baaton Baaton Mein, Khatta Meetha, Yeh Hai Zindagi, Do Aur Do Paanch and Inkaar to name a few. His most famous tune 'Mungada...Mungada' picturized on Helen is played on occasions and festivals even today. Rajesh has given several hit numbers by teaming up with his brother Rakesh Roshan in the 1980s and 1990s. They have worked together on films like Kaam Chor, Khoon Bhari Maang, Kishen Kanhaiya, Khel, Kaala Bazaar, King Uncle and Koyla to name a few.

The songs of Kites were sung by K.K, Vishal Dadlani, Suraj Jagan, Suzzane D Mello, Rajesh Roshan, Anirudh Bhola and Anushka Manchanda. The beautiful lyrics of the songs were written by Nasir Farraz and Asif Ali Beg. The songs of the films are Zindagi Do Pal Ki sang by singer K.K which is a slow romantic number picturized on the lead characters of the film, Hrithik and Barbara. Next is Dil Kyun Yeh Mera sung by K.K again. This too is a soft romantic song with heart-melting lyrics. It is sure to make you fall in love all over again. Another song, Tum Bhi Ho Wahi is sung by Vishal Dadlani and Suraj Jagan which starts at a slow pace but then the tempo changes to techo music which is a form of electronic dance music. The song also has some Arabic influence too.

Kites also marks the debut of Hrithik Roshan as a singer. Yes, the song Kites in the Sky is sung by Hrithik himself and Suzanne D Mello. It starts in the Spanish language and then we hear Hrithik sing in English. It is a catchy number and Hrtihik sure does a great job at singing. And finally there is the song Fire sung by Rajesh Roshan, Vishal Dadlani, Anirudh Bhola and Anushka Manchanda. It is a hip-hop peppy number which is sure to get your feet tapping.
