amazing writing and uniqueness

This is the sequel to Maggie Stiefvater's Shiver. Without giving too much away, all I will say is that Linger explores the consequences of the events of Shiver.
When I read Shiver, I knew a sequel had been written. Although I felt that Shiver could have been a stand-alone story (something that doesn't happen enough these days, IMO), I was looking forward to reading more about the amazing characters we were introduced to in Shiver. I love Stiefvater's writing style in these books. The words flow, almost lyrically, off the page. I love the intensity and the uniqueness of the plot. Linger isn't as strong of a story as Shiver, but it introduced an amazing character, and left me absolutely longing to read the next book.
