This is as much about Kishore kumar. And unfair to Rafi. 9 July, 2013 On
Well a good book which shud enlighten the RD fans about his music and personal life.since the writers are the fans too, u shudnt expect too much critical analysis of their subject. I found the book unfair to Md. Rafi.. Not only some of his hits completely overlooked, but there seemed an attempt to cast shadow over his talent. Eg his hits like gulabi ankhen and maine poosha chand se r not mentioned. His contribution in chura liya is overlooked. At the same time there is an attempt to prove that Kishore kumar was a singer who cud never go wrong. And films used to flop in absence of his songs eg zamane ko dhikana hai and manzil manzil. This sounded preposterous. His even mediocre songs found a mention as against ra. Rafi's popular hits. Over all a gud book.
