Pimps, prostitutes, gangsters, poets, pushers, and drug addicts, they all find their story in this novel. The Bombay of 1970's through its old streets and buildings is also hovering over the story. The book gives a classy description of this bold city and also provides a wonderful insight on opium. The characters, all in search of their own identities merge together to produce a unique identity to this thrilling novel.

Jeet Thayil, is famous poet who holds a Masters degree in Fine Arts from Sarah Lawrence College (New York). His debut novel 'Narcopolis' was a great hit and was recognized globally. 'These Errors Are Correct' and 'Apocalypso' are his published titles. He has also edited various books. His poetry collection has been honored by the Sahitya Akadami Award for English. He is the first Indian author to win the DSC Prize for South Asian Literature. His debut novel Narcopolis was short-listed for the Man Booker Prize 2012 and The Hindu Literary Prize.
