More than just a dream phone 4 January, 2013 On
Equally apt for its name, the Nokia Asha 311 smartphone is a blend of brilliant features and an example of the simple is smart cliché. When I bought the Nokia Asha 311, I realized it was the phone I always wanted. My cousin had used it too and found it to be extremely useful and quite economical. My Nokia Asha 311 almost never hangs or gets stuck up. The reason behind it being that it compresses apps and stores them at a lower size. I’m a lot into gaming. It is truly my passion and on this phone I can play up to 40 game titles from EA games totally free. EA games are an amazing premier studio that develops the most famous and extremely creative games. Packed with a good 1 GHz processor, the phone works fast and enables me to enjoy all the apps. Multitasking is easy and fun as I can listen to music, play games passionately and do much more! The Nokia Asha 311 is a tough phone and I love its amazing display. Its 3-inch capacitive touchscreen gives immense clarity and enhanced visibility due to the LCD transmissive technology. When I read reviews about its fantastic Corning Gorilla Glass technology protection, I was sure it is going to be just perfect for me. This protects the screen from scratches, bumps and abrasions making it a sensible buy for rough users. Mostly, with smartphones when the display is gone, the phone becomes almost useless. My Nokia Asha 311 is a great investment as I do not have to worry too much about its display getting damaged.
The Nokia Asha 311 flaunts the Nokia Series 40 OS with seamless 3-screen navigation. Faster applications, greater use of the phone and an enjoyable experience awaits me every day. My smartphone isn’t too complicated. The functions are extremely simple. I get all contacts, call lists and apps in just a few soft swipes of the screen. A simple 3.2 MP camera with great clarity allows me to take snapshots. I can zoom up to 4x and get decently good pictures. I also edit them and give the desired effects with some other features. On my office PC YouTube is blocked, but I have no worries at all. I can watch and download videos from YouTube quite easily. I can even record videos at 30 fps and share them instantly. With the Nokia Asha 311, I can enjoy awesome connectivity through Wi-Fi, data, Bluetooth and switch phone ringers on/off using the notification tab. It is just so easy! Like the world is at my fingertips. In my free time, I download all the latest hits from the Nokia Music App and store them on the 120 MB memory available. An extendable memory can be used with a microSD card for more storage. I’m almost never bored with the Nokia Asha 311 in my hands. Its proximity sensor and orientation sensor make sure my entertainment is complete in every sense.

     Asha! 24 November, 2013 On
Sometimes we have funny reasons for buying certain things. I thought, how many people are lucky enough to own a phone named after them and I was planning to buy it. My sister after hearing me talk about it, promptly gifted it for my birthday.
    So here goes the review.
Be prepared to hear the complaints from people that you put them on a hold while talking to them on the phone. It is very sensitive and it keeps doing funny things like putting people on hold, dialing some other number, opening apps, camera, recording the conversations, all without your intention.
Long conversations can heat up the instrument(5 to 10 minutes long).
Everything else is just about average. But then, what more can you expect at this price range? I don't keep changing phones every season, so I cannot compere its performance with other phones in the same bracket.
Unless you are named Asha or have special love for that name, go for something different.

  4.  Dont buy NOKIA ASHA 311 29 October, 2013 On
This is not a good mobile really.... it is semi smart phone... most of the features r there as like a smart phone.... but most of the application are really the worst.... if you use internet... specially in vibrate mode ... most of the time it going to be hanged.... even after many times you update software... you will be fastened..... Battery service is not ok.... if you use net all time....then without making any call you have to recharge your mobile battery twice a day.... now it is your decision what u have to do....
