  2.  Nothing earth-shattering about this phone 19 November, 2013 On
This was technically my first smartphone which I bought on the grand occasion of 31st December last year. My initial impressions about this phone was very good. However it all changed with the course of time when things rather started becoming cumbersome and unpardonable.

As my first smartphone and first Windows Phone, the best part about this phone was the screen size, image quality and the UI of the OS. I found it to be lovely. But the problem with this phone was that I had bought it at a time when Windows Phone 7 was getting obsolete and hence was losing support. I started getting frustrated and was repenting my purchase after 3 months of using it. What was even more frustrating was the limited 4GB of in-built storage with no room for expansion.

    1. The screen size (4 inches) is decent enough for a first time smartphone user.
    2. The screen resolution and the vibrancy of the colours was also good enough for the price tag it came with.
    3. The OS is amazing with simple and minimalistic design and smooth usage capabilities.
    4. The battery life was more than enough on average use.
    5. The price was quite decent for the features it came with.

    1. A dying version of the OS made things really difficult to handle and there was lack of support from Microsoft.
    2. 4GB in-built storage makes it very difficult to store games and files on the phone.
    3. Lack of an IPS display gave poor viewing angles to the device (IPS was built into its successor though).
    4. An 800MHz processor was not much effective in the smoothest performance from the device.
    5. No flash in the device meant poor low light photography.

    Overall Impression:
Note my words, the Lumia 510 is just fine enough for young people who want their first smartphone experience and is not at all suitable for those who desire a little more refinement in their products. For the price tag it comes with, it is a good device, so as to say, if not the best. However, mind the storage. If you want to play a lot of games or store thousands of songs on your phone, this might not be the best choice for you. Overall, Nokia has made a strong beginning into the entry-level market with this product.

  5.  go smart with 6k 23 September, 2013 On
Only negative in this phone is, sometimes it doesnot support service query i.e. balance check ,it won't show last call cost. Another problem I saw is .it automatically on while connect to charger if fone is dnt hv any flash as per the price its ok ,window OS is really good For advanced users only ,its having a good battery back up . It won't overheat that much if used for hours .really great product I lyk it .ill always use windows phone also Nokia .no external memory .no problem Nokia music leads to 100000s of songs ,videos and so on

  6.  Not worth it anymore 25 December, 2013 On
This phone has an old os. The nokia new 520 and the upcoming 525 are way better options and 520 is available for somewhat the same price.

Its better to pay a little bit extra and buy 520 instead of this.

Nokia was only learning with this device, with 520 they have somewhat perfected it.

The lack of apps is clearly refelected in this phone.

If you dont want anything else than common phone features this might be okay, but better get 520 instead.

  7.  nice trying by nokia 21 December, 2013 On
launched windows on a phone in a haphazard move. since nokia had to come back in the market with their eagerness and desperateness at its peak. even though the windows platform is very nice, nokia is not providing with good hardware to support it. this phone is outdated now , nice try by nokia. but not very good.
