Nokia X: Android and Windows Phone collide - First Android phone from Nokia 28 April, 2014 On Junglee.com
Nokia X,as you may have already heard is the first Android device from Nokia. Many Android fans have been waiting for an Android device from Nokia for years, and now they finally have it. Unfortunately Nokia has decided to bring out a low end budget phone instead of a phone with high end specs and all.

    ## Screen And Build Quality
At first look,Nokia X looks like just another Lumia device, the build quality and design is almost same as their popular Lumia devices. Poly carbonate all around with colored interchangeable back panel gives it an attractive look. The device is easy to hold, and the size is perfect for one handed operation. On the front, there is a 4 inch IPS LCD, 800 x 480 pixels WVGA resolution display which is usually seen in devices under Rs 5000. They should have at least packed a qHD display for a better viewing experience. The viewing angles are OK,not great. Readability under direct sunlight is poor.

    ## Operating System and Performance
Nokia X is powered by a 1Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Play dual-core CPU and Adreno 203 GPU. It only has 512MB Ram. The specs are disappointing considering the various Android devices at this price range ships with far better processor and gpu, plus 1 GB of ram.

Antutu Benchmark Score - 7400 [ Similarly priced Xolo Q700S, Micromax A114, Canvas Mini 200 etc score around 17000 ]

Nokia has opted for a modified Android version ( based on 4.1.2 Jellybean ) instead of a smoother stock Android experience. Most of the part, the UI is smooth, but you will find lags here and there during application usage, often due to a low end processor and 512MB ram it has. Even though this runs Android, Nokia has modified it so much so that it would be difficult to see any traits of Android UI style in there. It has a Lumia like homescreen and there is only one button to navigate - a back button. There is no multitasking button to switch between apps which is very disappointing.

    ## Software
Nokia has opted not to include Google Apps, instead are promoting those apps they favor. So the popular core apps of Android, like Android PlayStore, Gmail,Google Maps, Google+ etc are missing. There are Microsoft apps and Nokia's own popular apps like Nokia HERE Maps included. Whatever alternatives they provide, without the Google Playstore, you are missing a lot of vast variety of apps. However you can Install Amazon Appstore and install many apps through it.

    ## Camera
Disappointing. The 3MP camera on the back is a FIXED FOCUS camera. Without Auto focus capabilities, its hard to get good pics often.

    ## Battery
This ships with only a 1500mAh powered one, which is not great. You would hardly be able to get one whole day of battery backup with this (average use with internet on ).

    ## Verdict ##
If you are already an Android user, then its better to stay away from this Android device,as the UI is completely different and confusing. For a new user, or someone coming from a windows phone, the experience would be much better. The lack of Google Playstore is a major disadvantage with this device,as the included Nokia Appstore doesnt have many popular Android apps. Buy this only if you wanna try out a different new Android UI. My recommendation is to spend a few more bucks extra and get a better performing Android device powered by Quadcore CPU and 1GB of ram.

Nokia and Android to an extent successful 13 June, 2014 On Junglee.com
A hybrid Android device from Nokia, which was least expected from the Nokia brand.

Specification wise it has a 4 inch IPS LCD screen, 16 million color support, moderate resolution, 233 pixels per inch, 512 MB RAM, 1GHZ dual core processor, 4GB internal storage, 32 GB external micro SD card slot, dual sim card support and a rear camera.

Nokia specific apps is present, Facebook specific notifications, Jellybean Android controlled by Nokia. Google store cannot be accessed with this device.

Overall Nokia has managed to bring in its own customized Android in a stable phone. So at such a decent price, it is value for money.

This device has got nothing in it neither processor, camera, nor it's platform... this device is just waste of money. It is one of the worst devices i've ever used. i would recommend u not 2 buy it. go for samsung or nokia lumia series or micromax. No comments for this device!

  4.  Awesome device from Nokia 19 May, 2014 On Junglee.com
Nokia X is a very typical type of Android, typical because its UI(User Interface) is modified and its lacking Google Play Services. Though its running on Jelly Bean. But there is one minus point as the Nokia store has only selected apps for this device, but users dont have to worry because there are other third party app stores such as Amazon app store, Mobile 1 Market for the Compensation of Google Playstore. The most eye catching thing is its UI because it resembles just like Windows.( can be called as Windows Inspired UI). Overall this device has a mixture of Windows, Android and Nokia Asha Series phones in terms of its view&usage. Since there are no Google Services so users with Nokia X have to rely on Microsoft's Services.
One should go for it because its Software and Hardware makeup is good. And those of you who are bored of That same old Samsung Touch wiz UI like me, must try Nokia X fast lane UI.

  5.  My Experince with New Nokia X so far 11 May, 2014 On Junglee.com
My Experience with this particular handset is very nice. and this is something on which I can have faith because of its brand. i'm always a Nokia Lover. The Specification is decent although it's not too high end still the performance is very good compairing to other Cheap Brands in this range.
Looks cool. It suits in ur hand. Can guaranty that. :)
Screen is fabulous. Color representation is very very good. & it's very much clear.
The music experience with nokia is always good. There's nothing to complain about.
Apps runs quite smooch i'd say. But yes if u r a high end gamer then It can give you trouble to run large sized games.
Last but not the least some people says there no Google play. Don't Worry u'll get every popular apps, games on playstore & also u can side-load other apps, games from google-play using a third party app preloaded into it.

  6.  Its android, but NOKIA 16 June, 2014 On Junglee.com
so, i heard finally Nokia is coming up with an Android phone. i thought lets give it a try. I Bought it quite early and to my suffering, the price came down in a week. that was one blow.
Next, as there is No Google play store, and Nokia Store is new and having less apps, finding and installing apps is a headache. though it support 3rd party stores, but i am really concerned about privacy and spamware apps .
Performance wise, its really a good phone. I found the fastlane instead of traditional notification center a bit cooler.
Music is also OK OK but the MixRadio app is too awesome.
Overall, it can carry over my daily needs like BBM, Whatsapp, Facebook but no hard working over it.

  9.  A nice budget phone by nokia running on android! 18 June, 2014 On Junglee.com
it is a nice phone launched by nokia but it lacks in screen size.as it is the starting android phone by nokia,it needs some more innovation as it cannot run all the available android apps.a sleek design and a smart and classy look enhances it's style. it is a smart pick and experiment by nokia. It has 3 MP camera and 4x zoom with fixed focus which would not be liked by passionate photographers. is supports 2 sim's. and it is good .........

  10.  nokia trying to fool customers 1 May, 2014 On Junglee.com
This is no android phone. It is just a cheap marketing strategy from Nokia. You wil stil have a windows phone with so called choice of android apps. But the truth is it supports only few android apps! You end up getting neither a windows phone nor n android. At this price it is a strict no no. Invest in better phones than in this. Personally even micromax is now better than nokia
