  1.  A thoughtful, intriguing and suspenseful thriller 25 June, 2014 On
I received a review copy of this book from the author
When Mathematician Daniel Geller developed a formula that could predict the date of a person’s death, only to have his thesis rejected by the faculty at Trinity College, he walks away from collage and mathematics.
Twelve years later John Redmond (Daniels old professor at Trinity) seek out Daniel to tell him that one of his predictions has proved correct, his subject died four years ago on the day it was predicted, and another subject Grace Daniels, his old girlfriend is predicted to die in a few days.
John wants Daniel to return to the world of mathematics, Daniel doesn’t want someone he once loved to die to prove his thesis.
John Redmond and his wife Clare have lost their ten year old son, and are grieving for him, each in their own way.
Grace Daniels, Daniel’s old girlfriend, lost her unborn twins to domestic abuse, has decided to leaves her husband.
As Daniel moves through their lives the story touches on rejection, loss, grief, redemption and a second chance.
The story is well written, moves at a good pace, with well-developed characters and a twist I really didn’t see coming.
I enjoy this book immensely and Darren Sugrue is an author worth following.
