  1.  Magic in the story 5 October, 2013 On Junglee.com
Till before this movie, magicians used to be a bunch of frauds who resorted to cheap tricks to earn money. This movie changes it all though. That Nolan could have picked up the art of magic, and taken it to such a magical place if truly extraordinary.

While Bale's acting chops had been evidenced in movies like the Machinist and Empire of the Sun, it is Hugh Jackman who gives an extraordinary performance here, showing off his theatre roots. Micheal Caine is as usual brilliant, and the rest of the cast pretty much are support. One stand out performance though is David Bowie, who is absolutely sublime as a certain Tesla.

The plot is like any Nolan movie twisted, and keeps you intrigued till the end. If you do listen to Christian Bale though, you might unravel one plot piece. The rest however, is impossible to unravel, and will keep you glues to your seats. Awesome movie making, and acting masterclasses to savor.
