It's become clear to many of us that we need to take the initiative in learning how to approach our well-being from a perspective that doesn't rely solely on current medical systems. In RADICAL HEALING, Dr. Ballentine offers a new vision of health care and well-being - one that integrates the holistic healing traditions of ayurveda, homoeopathy, Traditional Chinese Medicine and other herbal medicinal traditions. He explains and emphasises the importance of understanding and maintaining the connection between the healing and spiritual aspects of these traditions. Only by maintaining this connection can mind, body and spirit be healed. The decade that has elapsed since the first edition has allowed ample time for the emergence of new health care needs and trends that support the central theme of Radical Healing. Like Andrew Weil and Deepak Chopra, Dr. Ballentine is a pioneer of the holistic health movement. Drawing on more than forty years of medical practice and research, Dr. Ballentine presents a practical and comprehensive system of health care that anyone can embrace. Extensive self-help guides, tutorials and body maps help the reader access and customise alternative remedies for 100 of the most common ailments.
