Janki, the daughter of a humble priest, was kidnapped at the age of six years and sold to a brothel keeper. She was forced to learn dancing, and when she reached the age of puberty, was sold as a mistress to Thakur Vikram Singh. She was saved from a life of misery, by a poor bangle seller, Ramesh. Ramesh and Janki, got married and were content. When their children grew up, Thakur Vikram Singh, crossed their paths again, causing pain and anguish.
