This book is the twelfth volume of The Adventures of Tintin. Written by Belgian cartoonist Herge, this edition of the book was published on January 2013 by Egmont Publishers.

Georges Prosper Remi, also known as Herge, was a famous cartoonist and writer born and brought up in Brussels. He is best known for The Adventures of Tintin series. The writer has composed two other famous comic book series known to readers as Jo, Zette and Jacko and Quick & Flupke. Herge was artistic in nature. His talent for drawing illustrations was noticed by his scout master, who encouraged him to get them published. Later, the cartoonist joined Le XXe Siecle - an art magazine. There he published his first Tintin story. The story soon gained popularity and Herge continued with the adventures of the boyish reporter and his dog till his death.

Red Rackham's Treasure is the continuation of The Secret of the Unicorn. Tintin, Captain Haddock and Snowy embark on a journey convinced by the fact that Sir Francis Haddock used a series of clues to hide the location of his priceless treasure. They rent a boat, Sirius and set sail. The team is soon accompanied by Professor Calculus. Though difficult to converse with, Calculus proves to be a useful passenger. His mini-submarine comes in handy for searching shipwrecks. One of the biggest clues related to the treasure concerns Marlinspike Hall and its relation with Sir Francis Haddock. Can Tintin find this clue? Can Tintin discover the treasure?
