Product Description

Have you missed on some of the seasons from Revenge TV series? Get access to the complete series of this TV show with this DVD which has the complete season episodes. This is a twisted tale of passion, suspense and ultimate redemption that lies beneath the luxurious lifestyle of the Hamptons. Witness Emily Thorne's (Emily VanCamp) brilliantly vindictive plot against Victoria Grayson (Madeleine Stowe), the reigning queen of the Hamptons and all who destroyed her family. Wealth, beauty and power define the residents of New York's most exclusive community, but one woman will stop at nothing to exact revenge from those who ruined her father's life. However the best-laid plans can unravel in the wake of an unexpected love triangle between Emily, the son of her greatest nemesis and a forgotten face from her past. The one clouded by vengeance is Emily Thorne (Emily VanCamp) is the daughter of a man convicted of terrorist acts that he didn't commit. Through the journals her father wrote in jail, Emily learns about the plot set in motion by the Grayson family and prepares a powerful Hamptons-based socialite force to frame him for the activities that would've destroyed their empire.

Map To Revenge

The first step she takes is to rent the house right next door to the Grayson's' beach-front property for the summer the home where she spent some of her childhood. Instead of getting wrapped up in nostalgia she worked on and the house become the base of operations in a plot to take down her penultimate target -- Victoria Grayson (Madeleine Stowe) who ultimately turned on her father. Once you get to know Victoria Grayson and her family you will understand why Emily continues her pursuit and while feeling sort of terrible how the young heroine keeps twisting the knife deeper instead of ride off into the sunset. A big part of Revenge's trashy, succulent addictiveness comes in watching the machinations of these sordid people devour those around them in corruption even their children and seeing Emily chip away at them, punctuated with force by Henry Czerny as Conrad Grayson and especially Madeleine Stowe as Victoria.

Investigation Of Emily Thorne's identity

The investigation creates an unnerving, dramatically indulgent atmosphere around the Grayson Manor where Stowe's piercing eyes and spiteful smile generate thorough disdain for the character. Stowe's deliciously evil pose makes one relish the unbearable stranglehold Victoria clenches over her assistant her children and the "puny mortals" within her grasp. As you continue with the series you will observe that each episode of Revenge is uniformly scratching off names from Emily's checklist of evildoers to take out not unlike Dexter's weekly pursuits of a flawed antihero eliminating people who deserve it punctuated by a token "bowl of soup" moment at the end that pulls the curtain back on how her plans are elaborately acted out.      Best to Worst 18 December, 2013 On
Season 1 One of the best paced and rewarding shows on TV, a true guilty pleasure.

Season 2 One of the worst shows on TV, up to the point where I've stopped watching.

What happened between Season 1 and 2, did they fire the writers and hire a bunch of monkeys?. Too many sub-plots, uninteresting characters and story lines. A great deal of time wasted getting nowhere, with unnecessary characters that are increasingly annoying and pointless.

I doubt this will go beyond 3 Seasons, unless there is a sea-change back towards Season 1. But then again I'll not be watching, once a show becomes a train wreck it's quite difficult to rescue it and I'm not waiting around for it to happen.

What once promised to be a great show, is now a soap opera in meltdown.

    I gave it a rating of 5 - 10 for Season 1, 0 for Season 2.
