Thanks to the seller. 15 May, 2015 On Junglee.com
I bought this phone from amazon when there was some discount going on. First of all, amazing shipping and delivery by amazon. Thanks to the seller. Now coming to the phone, it gives a great impression at first look. The design is sleek, classy and very beautiful. The internal features, on the other hand, are nothing out of the world. You will find all essential features in the phone but I guess, this time samsung has more concentrated on the build and design rather than the performance of device. You would find the performance similar to previous launches by samsung such as samsung note 2 etc. I am not saying that they perform poorly but its just that unlike apple, samsung did not try to come out with superb features on all fronts. The phone gets heated up on regular usage i.e. when on call for long or playing games or while charging also. This is not expected in a high-end phone. The fast charger does charges the phone very quickly, probably that is why the heating occurs. You can put the phone on charging for 15 minutes and get 40% battery from 0%. But I am afraid that is going to negatively effect battery life in long run. Battery consumption depends on number of factors: which data (2g, 3g) are you using, backlight settings, apps running in the background, which apps are installed, what is the operating temperature, signal strength and what is the frequency of calls received/dialled. I had used nexus 4 previosuly and with the same amount of these factors listed, it used to run for 12 hours. Samsung galaxy edge runs for 9 hours.

Coming to the pros, the dual edge super amoled does makes the phone feel comfortable in hands and side apps shows up even when you are playing music etc which maximizes on the screen. The camera is one of the best you will find in market. The clarity of both outdoor and indoor shots is simply superb. They pictures have high resolution when clicked with camera having bright aperture of F1.9.Samsung has made it 64-bit octa-core which means 8 processors for hyper-threading. That is a lot of advanced hardware to be provided in a phone but is it really needed? Till recently, I had been using 32-bit laptop only with 2gb RAM. Sure, my phone is technically more advanced than my laptop.

Other rare specifications of the phone that you might search for:
    sim size: nano (4FF)
    supports networks 2g GSM( GSM900, GSM850, PCS1900, DCS1800), 3g UMTS(B2 1900, B4 AWS, B5 850, B1 2100), , 4g FDD LTE (B19 800, B28 800, B2 1900, B4 AWS, B5 850, B7 2600)
USB version is 2.0, earjack is 3.5mm standard, ANT+, NFC available
    Location technology: Glonass, GPS, Beidou
    Bluetooth version: v4.1
    color depth: 16m
    cpu speed: 2.1GHz, 1.5 GHz
ram is 3gb and rom is 32 gb
video recorder resolution: UHD 4k at 30 fps 3840X2160
    weight: 132g very light
    mobile tv: no support
video player suuports format of mp4, m4v, 3g2, avi, mkv, webm, asf, 3gp, flv
sesnsore: fingerprint, HR, proximity, barometer, accelerometer, geomagnetic, gyro and light sensors.
    battery: 2600 mAh, non-removable.
wearable device support: gear fit, gear circle

     Amazing Phone! 30 April, 2015 On Junglee.com
I have been using this phone from past two weeks now and can say that this is an amazing phone.
    Pros -
The phone is really fast and there are no lag whatsoever.
Battery backup is also very good and on somedays, it lasts for almost 1.5 days.
The screen is HD and very bright.
    Cons -
Its key feature Edge touch screen sometimes is pressed accidentally while holding.
Also to open main screen you have to tap power button twice. Nobody would be used to this and it takes a little time to get it right.
Overall its a cool phone to have but not really sure if the extra edge screen makes any difference.

my new phone 30 April, 2015 On Junglee.com
Samsung has come up with a curved screen as a marketing gimmick merely. Just because it had the resources to do it, it went with it even though if the curvedness does not add much to the performance or functionality. But keeping that aside, samsung note edge still offers exceptional features which makes it desirable. You might as well go for the normal gaalxy s6, it depends more upon the personal choice because the functionalities and performance is the same otherwise. It is just that edge is some 4mm wider that normal s6. The display has a punchy contrast and awesome clarity which has become the flagship of Samsung with recent launches. The handset has physical home button and IR remote. In collaboration with Montblanc, samsung provides stylus as well which is their another key feature. The grip is really good and here can give credits to the curved screen which fits snugly into the hands. You can also keep your frequently visited apps on the edge for easy access. This actually prevents the apps to hinder view when music or any other app is playing the background.

     Good phone 28 April, 2015 On Junglee.com
The octa-core processor of galaxy s6 makes it super fast. The coating of gorrilla glass makes the screen less prone to scratches. There are some extra options in the camera like image stabilization, 4k + dual video capture and auto HDR. The aluminium bands makes the phone look stylish and the metallic body gives a good grip. You can also go for samsung's flagship s6 phone. Another good think is the inculcation of finger print sensor which many smartphones lack. I really like this feature.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge (White, 32GB) -Nice Phone 28 April, 2015 On Junglee.com
I am not able to figure out why samsung is charging extra thousands of bucks for edge over normal galaxy s6. From other reviews, there doesn't seem to be any significant difference in terms of battery or performance. However, the design is impressive. I particularly appreciate the fingerprint scanner. It has a 3 gb ram. Even my laptop has a 2 gb ram. I dont think you ever use more than 1.5gb ram on a phone at a time but extra memory doesn't hurt.

no value for money 28 April, 2015 On Junglee.com
I am a little dissatisfied with the protruding camera at the back but if you put a case, that is not an issue. The phone otherwise has a premium design and different look due to rounded edges and curvedness of glass. It is also little discomfort to hold it for longer periods. The screen is very large and the phone itself is thin. This does not really give a very good grip.

  7.  nice phone 22 May, 2015 On Junglee.com
A very beautiful phone indeed. Galaxy edge s6 is super light, classy and a fantastic smartphone. In general, you will find that the phone is fast and gives instant response to your touch. The edge features arouses curiosity and seems really nice but there is hardly any use of it later. It just gives a wow factor at one look.

Pros: The look of the phone is really great and the metallic body along with curvy edges gives a good grip of the phone. The camera is also great. I clicked few pics indoors and the automatic contrast and settings gave a great shot. The screen resolution is superb. You get the stencil which is flagship of samsung. I love using stencil, for doodle, draw and playing some quick games which are exclusive to samsung.

Cons: On a regular usage, the phone gets heated up. This may be because of the size of the phone. Also, I did not like the battery very much. It gets discgarged very quickly. I have not seen or heard of this issue with apple phones and it should never be an issue with high end phones for that matter. Samsung has provided the fast charger which lets to charge your phone from 0 to 100% in less than an hour. Normally, it would have taken a good amount of 2:30 to 3 hours to have full battery.

Also, I feel that samsung has put its money on the wrong aspects of phone. It compensated much on technical hardware. This has been done to cover the extra costs for the look and feel of device. Instead of qualcomm snapdragon, they used Exynos. The 3gb ram offering is not great either. Seriously, who is going to use so many app and so heavy apps on just a phone that it might consume close to 3 GB? At best, you may use 1.5 GB, never more than that.

Recommendation: If you have the bandwidth to buy a galaxy edge, go for it. It is a good phone but do not expect any out of the world features for its lavish price.

  8.  Awesome 18 May, 2015 On Junglee.com
I am in love with galaxy edge s6. The display is jaw-drop gorgeous. You are sure to have a great experience while texting, reading emails, reading news in general. I was surprised to see that the photos clicked on other phones when trasferred to this phone looks much much better. The phone is very sleek and has a very classy look to it. The metallic design with curved edges and well-placed volume and power button is simply amazing. The battery is good too. I really like the speed with which the battery gets charged. I usually charge it for 1 hour in the morning and that gets me going till the end of day. Let me clear that I am a heavy user and uses phone for all facilities like listening to music, reading news, whatsapping, facebooking, checking gmail, calling up people and checking clock frequently. I would say that do not compare it with other products like apple or htc. They have their own value propositions and samsung has its own. The phone is great piece by samsung and give edge s6 a try in offline stores.

  9.  Very Expensive, Buy HTC or Apple instead 29 April, 2015 On Junglee.com
Who would buy samsung for 50+ thousands. It is very expensive and the design and features are not at par with htc and apple. Samsung has done some impressive work on the body and you can see aluminium bands on the sides. But still the grip and feel of htc or an apple phone is far better than Samsung. There is the issue of app crashing and the battery drainage problem with s6. With each ongoing week, the battery life would decrease by half and hour or so. The 'wow' factor of curved screen is just for publicity and is of no material use.

  10.  Good concept of edges on the smartphone 28 April, 2015 On Junglee.com
The handset looks really good with a the curved glass. Only problem is that the sub-par edge screen somehow hinders full perfection at the edges. It comes in superb colors such as white pearl which I personally like. But the design upgradation and the fancy external storage of 64gb or even 128 gb makes it expensive that iphone 6 plus. It is slightly thicker and lighter than iphone 6 plus. Like apple, samsung has also blocked the removable battery and no micro-sd slot. Overall design is pretty premium.
