Overview: Shooting Star

The Shooting Star is a fictional comic book and is the 10th in The Adventures of Tintin series. This time, our young hero, Tintin and his faithful mutt, Snowy, are on a whole new adventure, where they will witness the unknown. The earth is at the brink of apocalypse, with a giant meteorite headed towards it and the heat being unbearable. The meteorite, however, does not collide with earth, but part of it is deposited in the Arctic Ocean. The remnant of the meteorite, as a result is called Phostlite, and considered to be extremely precious.

Tintin and Snowy, along with Captain Haddock, set out with a crew to retrieve the element. But unbeknownst to them, another ship is also on its way to the Arctic, backed by a rich financier named Mr. Bohlwinkel. They constantly try to sabotage Tintin and his team's mission, and it's now a race to the finish. Who will get to the location of the fallen meteorite particle first? Will Bohlwinkel succeed in wrecking Tintin's mission. Read on and be amazed as Tintin outsmarts evil men and also discovers giant spiders and large polka-dotted mushrooms.
