Not such a good mobile 16 May, 2013 On Junglee.com
For 11k i don't think someone should go for this mobile.

The color strip around the mobile is good to look at.
There is no Memory card slot & only 4GB user available memory & pretty small screen.

Apart from all those cons Graphics provided for this phone is just awesome for its range. Light weighted & a handy mobile to use.

  4.  Form over Functionality 30 August, 2013 On Junglee.com
When I first bought the phone, my happiness knew no bounds. The Xperia U had everything that I wanted (and could afford at the same time) neatly fitted in a form that made me lust for it when I was browsing online for a new phone.

The beautiful design, and the amazing illuminative transparent band coupled with the decent specs made me go for the phone immediately. But my joy was short lived.

After tinkering with the phone for a couple of weeks, I started noticing signs of lag. At first, I shrugged it off as a rare occurrence but repeated happenings made me think otherwise. Then all that could go wrong with the phone, went wrong.

-My phone used to repeatedly get stuck, with no buttons(both capacitative and physical) responding. The phone sometimes used to hang for minutes at a time.

-The only option during such a situation was to wait for an agonizingly long duration for it to respond or remove the battery.

-The phone used to shut down all by itself sometimes.

-The screen cracked without any incident of physical damage inflicted on it. ( happened to a few more friends of mine who owned a Xperia U)

In conclusion, I found the phone to be an exquisite design but lacking in the software department. Even the hardware was lacking in a few departments, especially the touch screen. The U is definitely not worth the price tag and I would recommend someone to go instead for a Samsung phone or a Nokia Lumia instead(if shortage of apps is not a problem).

  5.  Compare and then decide! 20 November, 2013 On Junglee.com
I don't know why people are blaming it that much but frankly speaking you can't get better than this in this range.
Now a days people only cares about the screen size - which doesn't matter and irrelevant as you aren't buying mobile phone to watch 3D movies! Are you? And in fact its not a small screen at all. Just check in the inbuilt qualities -

#1. You can't get a better display than of it's Bravia Engine in this range (below 10k).

#2. The Dual Core is really a Dual Core. Playing games and watching videos can't be more buttery than this if you are buying a phone of less than 10k.
Why I am saying this because my friends have Canvas, Galaxy Y Duos, Galaxy S Duos and similar budget phones and I have seen them and compared too. Even my friends also admitted it because the fps is higer in Xperia U.

#3. Camera - mind blowing in daylights! Flash works fine if there is no light. But if there is another light you will get a bit noisy white picture. But the HD 720P video recording is more than awesome! You will not be disappointed.

#4. RAM can be a bit of concern if you run multiple heavyweight processes all together, otherwise its fine.

As an user of this I can tell you one thing - if you have a budget of less than 10k you can undoubtedly go for this one. Its simply better than any other Samsung or LG or Micromax devices available in this range. And I am not just saying it, I have tested it.

  6.  Little brother of xperia family 26 January, 2014 On Junglee.com
The phone is very light weight.

Comes with a curvy back cover which is a carry forward from old sony ericssion mobiles.

It has option of changing colour by easily changable bottom case and the back cover. Even though it's factory loaded with Gingerbread... One can update it to android 4.0 as it's available in sony servers now

It doesn't have a expandable memory. But it does have something to add to the performance
Of the phone. Only 4 gb will be available for use. So need to be little careful with the
    space utilisation in phone.

The touch is awesome in the phone.

The display is having the quality n DNA of xperia mobs.

Camera is good. It will give you a decent looking pic. It also have a front camera tooo.

The user interface of the mobile is also kept with the stock's beauty but tweaked to be perfect
    By sony.

Battery backup is good and is reliable.

Get a good quality sony headphones ... This phone gives you a good replacement for your MP3 player too.

It has a good Microsoft exchange app embedded on it. Which makes it ideal for business purposes too.

All the spare parts of the phone is available cheaply on market too..

In one word .. It's a reliable and worthy smart phone for an investment for a long time.

  10.  Nice Stuff ! 5 March, 2014 On Junglee.com
I got this mobile for myself and was very satisfied. It has a decent enough battery back up for normal usage. The camera is absolutely fab. However its slightly big in size and may not fit in your pocket, you may have to carry it in you hand all the time. However its a decent enough buy.
