The Secret of the Nagas Overview

About the Book
Today, He is a God.

4000 years ago, He was just a man.

The hunt is on. The sinister Naga warrior has killed his friend Brahaspati and now stalks his wife Sati. Shiva, the Tibetan immigrant who is the prophesied destroyer of evil, will not rest till he finds his demonic adversary. His vengeance and the path to evil will lead him to the door of the Nagas, the serpent people. Of that he is certain.

The evidence of the malevolent rise of evil is everywhere. A kingdom is dying as it is held to ransom for a miracle drug. A crown prince is murdered. The Vasudevs – Shiva’s philosopher guides – betray his unquestioning faith as they take the aid of the dark side. Even the perfect empire, Meluha is riddled with a terrible secret in Maika, the city of births. Unknown to Shiva, a master puppeteer is playing a grand game.

In a journey that will take him across the length and breadth of ancient India, Shiva searches for the truth in a land of deadly mysteries – only to find that nothing is what it seems.

Fierce battles will be fought. Surprising alliances will be forged. Unbelievable secrets will be revealed in this second book of the Shiva Trilogy, the sequel to the #1 national bestseller, The Immortals of Meluha.

This is the best book out of the Shiva trilogy 21 May, 2013
Among the Shiva trilogy (Immortals of Meluha, Secret of Nagas, Oath of Vayuputras), the Secret of Nagas is the best book. It has all the elements of an interesting book - mystery, strong personalities, deceit, love, hate, compassion ...

The only thing that is a bit odd is the ending of this book. The endings of all books in the trilogy are very badly written. It seems, author just wanted to finish the book towards the end. The endings are too abrupt and leave a lot to be desired.

But, overall this is a very interesting read.

How I Fell in Love with Lord Shiva 26 April, 2013
The second book in the Shiva Trilogy by Amish Tripathi picks up immediately after the events of ‘The Immortals of Meluha’. While reading this book, I couldn’t help but fall in love with Lord Shiva! A man of honor, an intense warrior, a sensitive companion and an incredible being! The revelation of the ‘Secret’ had a dual effect – it was both a shock and a pleasant surprise. New characters like the Chandravanshis and the Nagas adds new dimensions to the story! The book concludes with an astonishing cliffhanger and waiting for more than a year for the final novel was a torture!

This book is awesome 25 October, 2012
Before I started reading the book I was under the Impression that this book would all be about making Steve look like a Demi God about technology and innovation. But I was hoping that I would get an insight about Steve the man and his drawbacks.

I wasn't disappointed at all. This book gives the insight into Steve as a human being. He wasn't flawless. Infact he was far from being flawless. But despite all his flaws he was uber passionate about technology and future, he was philosophical and he was a thinker and he was an awesome dad, "His only concern in 2009 was to see his son graduate. ".
