    This is a book authored by an Indian and is/was used by most professional catering institutes. The book is a must have for all those aspiring chefs, event planners and gourmets. The basics of cooking, technical terms, cooking methods, basic idea of different cuisines is well outlined and explained in very simple and comprehensible language. To add to it, the author gives a very good explanation of the basics of cooking i.e. stocks, sauces & soups. So don't wait for anything. Pick this book up and start reading like a novel. You can really gain good knowledge on cookery with a professional touch.
