Overview: Whitney

Product Description

One of Judith McNaught's timeless bestseller-Whitney, My Love-is a novel that amazingly conceptualizes the idea of laughter, tears, and the power of dreams. The beauty of this novel is its simple storyline that beautifully and imminently captures the reader's imagination. According to the author, this is the ultimate love story that one can imagine. The protagonist of this novel is Whitney Stone, who is shown as a beautiful and sensual woman from the province of Claymore, England. The story revolves around this central character who finds herself in a position where she is bargained away by her bankrupt father to the handsome and arrogant Duke. In spite of this, she is adamant to not let her dream of perfect love relinquish. This novel was Judith's debut novel, and its success kick started her stellar career.

Simple Yet Complicated Romance

Whitey Stone is shown to have grown up from being a saucy hoyden into a ravishing sensual woman. She has always been eyed by Clayton Westmoreland, the dark and languorous Duke of Claymore, to whom of course she never paid heed to. Whitney loves Paul since childhood and wishes to settle down with him. After her fresh triumphs in Paris society, she returns to England to win the heart of her love, Paul. But fate happens to have other things planned for her. She is married to the good-looking and egoistical Duke by her bankrupt father. This turns her life upside down. She is completely outraged and defies her new lord completely. Although the Duke manages to seduce her and completely sweep her off her feet, Whitney is adamant to not let her true love for Paul die. This novel takes its readers through a roller coaster ride of emotions, human dreams, and the limits one can reach to pursue his/her dreams.

  1.  Judith Mcnaught My love!!! 22 February, 2013 On Junglee.com
I love Judith Mcnaught and I love her books. This is one of my fav JM books and I have re read it a couple of time already. Whitney is such a spitfire I love that. She's funny, sarcastic, and loyal. I loved the fact that she didn't just jump into the hero's bed. Clayton sounded like the stuff dreams are made out off. My fav JM hero along with Mathew Farrell from Paradise. This book is very romantic and for those who love Victorian romances, I highly recommend it.
