Must-have for non-native speakers
19 February, 2014
This book is must for people of non-English speaking community, especially for people like me of South-East Asian origin, who would like to pick up the English vocabulary and its application in day-to-day communication among the educated community.
The author, Norman Lewis, has done well in making the learning both interesting and instructing, explaining some of the most difficult words in a normal layman language and its application in a very lighter spirit, saving learners from the drudgery of learning new words.
The book, Word Power Made Easy, is the "must-have" book on learning English vocabulary, especially for people of non-native speakers. The author's usage of redundancy, saying the same thing in different ways makes its both easy to remember and humorous at the same time, in a more vivacious and lively manner. Believe me if you learn English words in the way the author has put across it will be very hard to forget, no matter how much you may try.
