Worked well ... for about 6 months 21 April, 2009
I like the thinness of the watch. It is lightweight. I find it stylish. It keeps time well.

However, as several others have reported, my crystal broke ... for no apparent reason. I was sitting watching TV, checked the time. Checked again about 30 minutes later and the crystal was cracked. Didn't even hit it on anything.

Other minor nit, the knob to change the time is very small and slick. Difficult to get a grip on it. Can be a problem if you need to correct the date.

Lightweight, attractive but very sensitive to scratches 28 December, 2011
This is a good overall watch as long as you are careful when wearing it.

    Pro's:
    - lightweight
    - small, low profile
    - easily adjustable band
    - keeps good time

    Con's:
    - both the face and band scratch if you look harshly at them
    - band locking mechanism can be annoying.

Great Watch Except for Cracked Face 12 September, 2011
Gave this watch to my husband as a gift and he loves it. Very lightweight and comfortable. He's a watch guy and chooses this one over the other watches he has. The big problem is that about three months after he got the watch, the face cracked. He still wears it because he likes it so much and I think he would want it again, even knowing it would break (he likes it that much). It's a pretty cheap watch, so it's not the end of the world to replace. However, this cracked face is really annoying.

    quality problem 5 March, 2007
This watch is nice, but the quality is questionable: after two months the glass crystal cracked while I was sitting at my computer. Skagen would repair the watch, of course, but I have to pay S&H ($8.95 one way)! So I am still deciding what is chipper - repair this watch or by another.

    It's OK 1 January, 2013
I was looking for simple dress watch that wouldn't break the budget.
    This one fits the bill.
The watch itself is nice, band was a bit of a problem for me.
First of all, it's huge. I am normal build guy, still there were 2 inches of band left after I have adjusted it to my hand.
So, the boys with enormous hands, it will fit you, no problems.
Second, the band doesn't bend where it' attached to the case due to the way it's fixed there.
So the band kind of continues on and then wraps around your hand, leaving huge gaps between hand and the band on both sides of the watch. Looks like watch with wings.
Hope it makes sense. Photo would probably explain it better. I have almost send it back because of that.
But decided...ah..all right, it's better than wearing hiking watch to the meetings with guys in suits.

Way too big 23 November, 2008
Watch did look nice but was not as thin as advertised. But the biggest bummer for me, this watch was really big for my wrist. One needs to be a large statured person to get a nice fit on this watch. As I can not wear it much, I can not speak about its durability.

    Broken pin 15 November, 2007
Had this watch just three days and the pin that joins the strap to watch has bent. Was not dropped or maltreated. Seems to me that all the pressure is on the middle so is bound to distort whereas if this "collar" was longer would be impossible to bend. Pity otherwise very smart.

Its a nice, inexpensive watch 7 June, 2013
I bought this watch for the purpose of having simple watch to wear to work, as in not for formal events. Its alright, the clasp mechanism seems a bit rudimentary.

    Beautiful. 30 May, 2013
Recommend for the big guys, because of the size of my small wrist the ends of the band sticks out without folding smoothly around.

I like Skagen watches because there is characters on it. But when I received the item the lacking mechanism needs adjustment.
