Good range, works well enough

This review applies to the TX and the RX:
The picture is quite clear at about 150 feet (CAT5e @ 720p). At 283 feet (measured by a cable tester) the image is quite acceptable, though if you look very closely you can see some minor ghosting. The image is coming from an Aiptek camcorder with component outputs. Haven't tried it at 1080. Turning the distance knob trades sharpness for some speckle, but does nothing for the ghosting.
Warning: if you are joining several CAT5 runs and get blue colors instead of yellow (blue people for example), it's not the unit, you most likely wound up with a crossover cable. Throwing another crossover cable in the run will fix it. (A good cable tester will tell you that your run is x-over)
All in all I'm keeping it, but I do not believe the stated distance (500-1000 feet) - I expect the picture to degrade further.
PS: I am using them with a single CAT5e cable, I don't need audio or IR at all at this time.
