concerned it will be considered over sized luggage.

Just recently got a Bob revolution stroller and can't wait to take it on vacation so our little guy has some posh transportation. Talked to some friends about traveling with the Bob, and most had positive things to say about simply gate checking it with all the other strollers. We had decided to go that route until I saw this bag go on sale. With the investment in the Bob, I wanted to protect it and keep it in good shape for as long as possible, so I decided to get the travel bag. We have a trip coming up, and we are flying on Alaska Airlines, so we gave them a call. The official dimensions for the travel bag are 19x10x35, which is 64 linear inches. Alaska considers any bag 63 linear inches and over to be over sized, and subject to a $50 charge each way. However, they also state that any stroller and car seat would be free of charge. We would love to take our stroller, and even more so to use this bag, but we don't want to pay an extra $100 to do so. The travel bag is great, very similar to a travel bag for a bike(if you are familiar with those). Nice rigid framing, shoulder strap and wheels. There are axle covers for the front wheel, and a holder for the front wheel's skewer. Yes you have to take the wheels off, and it may not be the best option if you plan to wait to pack it at the last minute before boarding, if you practice a bit ahead of time you'll get used to it. I would feel comfortable checking the stroller in this travel bag, and really hope to do so in the near future. If the airlines continues to stand behind their size restriction(and I'm not saying they shouldn't), then we may be sending this back. :(
